I had taken a family member in to put in an application. The qualifications were said to be 55+ in addition to income. At the time of putting in the application I paid for the fee. Here it is 2 years later and I finally get the call (As I am listed as the contact person for said family member) that they have 8 apartments available and that *Family Members* application was next on the list. However they had to discard it due to no longer meeting the qualifications. Apparently it is a 62+ senior living. All of the paper work that was given to my family member states 55+. I have contacted other housing agencys all over the county and their spreadsheets ALSO state 55+ for this apartment. I have reached put to district and Regional managers with no follow up phone call. When I contacted the property manager they stated that they currently have people residing that are younger than 62+ and that they will have to move out. As far as that being true-who knows. Id like to add that during the duration of the past 2 years I have faithfully called in to check the status on said family member. I have reviewed information and NEVER once did they mention that the qualifications had changed and that they were no longer considered qualified! Talk about a JOKE! I seriously hope that this situation gets resolved with other applicants applying so that youre not waiting for 2 years and then Get that call! I am reporting this to the county and the state. When I requested my application fee to be refunded I was told NO. Oh! So its ok for you to lie to applicants, build up their securitt that their time is soon coming up and then turn around and say NO due to a breach in communication THEY failed to pass along! I have lived here for 2 years and it is a quiet nice environment. Kids often playing outside and riding bikes in the lot enjoying the nice weather. Charcoal grills for the people who live here to use. Basketball court, p laygrounds, and when it snows a nice safe hill for kids to sled down! The maintenance team is great about fixing things quick to when something goes awry. more ... hide ...
