Be CAREFULL when you apply this apartment. First step, they collect your application fee (non-refundable), and then they collect your deposit. Second step, they hold your application for a while like 3 weeks to 4 weeks. Third step, close to the moving day, they reject your application silently, without notifying you on a timeline manner. Berkshire apartments its the worst apartment complex in Colorado Springs. Living here was a complete bad experience. But if I could put 0 stars , I would! I always had loud neighbors, things never got fixed with mai ntenance, the property had lots of trash and dog poop on the lawns, The police were called numerous times a month, and there were countless reports of car break-ins. I never felt safe taking my dogs out after dark. During the winter months my apartment was always cold because the windows were not sealed and insulated. Snow would come through the windows and pile up on the windowsill!! Maintenance never came and fixed it. I guess it was too much of a fix for them. I had to tape my windows up during the winter to keep the snow and the cold out. Management is very unprofessional. Their current manager does not care about the residents. What prompted me to make a bad review is that I had many problems with management when I moved out. When it was time for me to move out, I was told that cleaning was my only concern. Unfortunately I got charged for normal wear and tear (I live here for 5 years) that maintenance never got around to fix. When I called to ask about it the manager told me there was nothing she can do about it. They are so unprofessional!!Even though I lived here for five years I would not recommend Berkshire apartments to anyone. Take it from me! I am so happy I moved out and found a new home! more ... hide ...

Im not sure how these apartments are considered livable all the bad reviews are true, all the good ones are false. Theres roaches in EVERY single building and apartment. I was told my unit was roach free and the first day I moved in of course there were roaches. This place is trashy and disgusting. The buildings are not well kept at all. Theres a horrible smell inside the buildings and its just flat out dirty and disgusting. Im so glad to finally be out of these apartments. Do yourself a favor and pay extra for an actual nice place, trust me, its worth it. These apartments need to be demolished and put to the ground, completely redone and rebuilt if they want these apartments to be considered nice Im surprised no one has reported this place to the department of housing. I would but Im out of there so theres really no point. Hopefully this helps someone steer clear from these places because trust me, youll regret it. more ... hide ...
