You must comply with their demands and give them whatever money they ask for, no matter how unreasonable, or else you'll be homeless. Also, don't think about applying for Section 8 if you live here - the rumor is that once they give you an apartment, you won't get the voucher. Thomasville is the only city I know of that doesn't have a number to call to check on Section 8 status. The manager and staff here are corrupt. For example, when the blinds were broken, she replaced them but added a $15 fee to the rent, as well as other repair fees. Additionally, my apartment's ceiling leaks, so water drips down from the bathroom into the living room. The leak gets patched and then a few months later, it starts dripping again. It's awful. One of the staff even misplaced my youngest son's birth certificate in someone else's file - I had to get another one. I would suggest recording every office visit as they are shady. more ... hide ...
