I waited three months for my security deposit back - 125 less than what was promised with no explanation. It seems like either incompetence or fraud is at play here, neither of which is acceptable. After the owner commented that all negative reviews were lies, they said they'd pay the full deposit including pet but only gave 540 of 590 total. When I asked for the difference of 50 dollars back, it was ignored. So after 3 months of trying to get my security deposit back I just took what I could get. Markham Development purchased the property February 2018 I am the manager of this property 2 of the recent negative comments are from the same unit They failed to move out on time and left the place with clutter causing a charge which resulted in Markham Development purchased the property February 2018 I am the manager of this property 2 of the recent negative comments are from the same unit They failed to move out on time and left the place with clutter causing a charge which resulted in less of a deposit returned to them Their over 1 week late move also resulted in renovations being delayed and running behind on the unit It is common knowledge to clean and remove all debris and junk from an apartmenttownhome when moving and common to be charge if it isnt done The other negative comment was made by someone referring to the previous maintenance from before the property was purchased I have a fantastic maintenance man and I also routinely call plumbers or HVAC contractors out to fix issues very quickly This person also failed to mention in their review that the 125 that they did not get back was a non refundable pet deposit There was no whoops as that was not refunded on purpose due to it not being refundable You will find we are fair friendly want the best for our property and residents more ... hide ...
