Her neighbors were nosey and complained each time her physical therapy workers would show up. We thought it would be a great place for her to move in, since her husband passed away just a month before moving in. In order to help her get her mind off things and help socialize with people her age. We were wrong. Most of the elderly were extremely rude and stuck up. My grandma tried to be friendly and make new friends by attending some activities along with church service, but the elderly people would make rude comments to her or get up and leave. She would go back to her room crying and calling me to explain what happened. Her experience at Horizon was just horrible. If you plane on moving your parents there, PLEASE take this as a warning. It went downhill from there. Our first apartment leaked water and mold began forming. Our first apartment leaked water and mold began forming. When we reported this they said we could move apartments while they fixed this. Stating it would take over a month to fix all the problems. During this time they couldnt get us into a new apartment for two months. When we finally moved they rented the apartment the next week. Our new apartment had new carpet. When we moved out a they charged us over $500 for new carpet due to pet damage. Which in the lease was covered by our pet deposit.
