These past two years I have been living here and I never anticipated what happened next. After taking a month-long trip, I came back to my apartment and it was covered in mold! Casanas carries out monthly inspections of their units, yet I was never informed of the condition of mine. They maintained that they phoned me twice but, ironically, did not leave any messages, nor did they send me a text or email. When I returned they said they had been waiting for me to arrive so they can begin repairs. Why would they let mold spread in one of their units? They claimed I had switched off the air conditioning, which I hadn't. Furthermore, it has been storming due to hurricane season, and a tropical storm (Fred) recently passed through Tallahassee. Could it be that the power went out? Then, they tried to blame the mold on trash in my bin. It was everywhere - the walls, the living room and furniture, my bedroom, closet, clothes, shoes, bathroom, and even the interior of my dresser. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I asked to be released from my lease and they said they'd get back to me. As of now, I'm living without a place to call home because of this. My neighbor in apt 2015 has a strange man living with her and nobody has done anything about it He is not on her lease and was threatening me when I knocked on her door to assure she was safe I will be reporting to the bbb if this issue is not fixed
