After I turned 18 and had to report income/sign lease during recertification periods, I became more conscious of the mismanag I have resided on the property with my mom and siblings for over 17 years, and now I also live there with my 3-year-old son. After I turned 18 and had to report income/sign lease during recertification periods, I became more conscious of the mismanagement of the property. The carpets were taken out a few years ago, replaced by cheaper vinyl flooring. Paint was applied before they pulled the carpet, making it clear where the original baseboards once were in comparison to where they currently are. The ceiling in our living room/dining room collapsed twice within a year's time; maintenance attributed it to water overflow from outside but this was part of their attempt at blaming tenants. Recently this past spring we had such a leak that it appeared as if it was raining inside our house! They called in a contractor who cut away whatever remained of what hadn't already fallen from the ceiling; short story is that it wasn't because of the bathtub but rather due to an issue with our toilet. Fearing mold growth, yet disregarding these concerns, they gave us an old and dirty refrigerator from their "workroom" instead of spending $300-$400 for a new one when ours stopped working over summertime. Our rent has increased twice this year for no apparent reason - why should we pay more when maintenance doesn't do their job properly? Or when office employees greet you with attitude? They are trying so hard to push us out of our communities - something more ... hide ...
