When one did become available, six days later, I went to check it out and saw that the bathroom cabinet door was hanging off and there were bugs on the wall. The staff member said that she would have another one the following week, but it was past my deadline to move in. I asked for my money back since I did not have the chance to view the apartment before paying for it. I cannot comprehend why they think this is acceptable??!!? They informed me that the deposit was non-refundable. Now I am very confused as to why they would charge me before they had something available and before I could even view it! I understand business principles, so if they had held an apartment and I then decided not to take it, I would have accepted them taking my $250. This whole transaction was unprofessional and the employees, particularly Camille, were very rude. When I asked for the corporate number, which is Lindsey Management, she told me to Google it and hung up. When I eventually got in touch with them, they were equally discourteous and said they would not return my money because they would have another one next week.
